Did you see  your friends?  Did you make a new friend?  Tomorrow, look around and see if there is someone that you can become friends with.  Perhaps there is a new child at your school or in your class, offer to show him/her around.  For your first recess, bring a smile and a “join in” attitude to the playground area.  It will be a great school year!

How to make a friend-

• smile

• be helpful

• say “hello”

• ask about their summer, compliment someone- “I like your backpack.”

• bring a skipping rope or ball, ask someone to join in play with you

• say, “See you again!”
